Our birds do not have a pond that would put them at heightened risk of avian flu that is currently spreading across the country.
Due to the risks involved, we will not be attending any animal swaps or other events, nor will we be bringing any new ducks onto our farm.
While we do have two Rouen and three mixed hens, going forward we will primarily only allow our Swedish ducks to hatch out clutches. We love their eggs, but can only eat so many.
We DO NOT incubate eggs. Our hens do all the work and are very protective of their young. This method has produced healthy ducklings that have grown into healthy adults.
George and Gracie are a pair, whereas Aflac has a number of hens to choose from. All of our Swedish hens are Blue Swedish.
